Role: Project Surveyor

Sector: Offshore Oil and Gas Construction/installation

We're Looking for a candidate to join the Survey department of a major oil and gas installation contractor in the Netherlands. Working within an well-established department the candidate shall be assigned duties and responsibilities on projects in the role of Project Surveyor during the planning, operations and reporting phases. The role shall  report to the local Survey Coordinator and interface with the onshore and offshore teams involved on the projects.

Role Description Essential

- Degree qualified (technical subject)
- Good English (written & spoken) Proficient with MS Office
- 5+ years offshore experience in senior roles Offshore Construction Support experience - pipelay, umbilical lay, ploughing, metrology, structure installation, pre-lay/as-laid/as-trenched/OOS, etc
- Good knowledge of subsea & surface positioning systems including navigation package(s)
- Good knowledge of geodesy
- Knowledge of industry standards 
- Well organised, demonstrable ability to work to deadlines, meeting contractual requirements to required standards
- Self sufficient and motivated with an ability to interact with project personnel at all levels
- Confident dealing with Clients, Subcontractors and Senior Project personnel.

Preferred

- Previous Project Surveyor experience
- Oil & Gas CONTRACTOR/SUB-CONTRACTOR/ CLIENT experience; 
- Deepwater SURF project experience;
- Shallow water construction experience;
- Commercial / tender support experience;
- Working knowledge of GIS Work
- Commercial support for survey workscopes
- Production of scopes of work or detailed procedures depending on project requirements
- Co-ordination / management of project equipment & personnel (asset/staff & subcontracted)
- Liaison with project teams, support staff, clients and offshore personnel 
- Co-ordination of reporting & project deliverables
- Provide quality return of experience 
- Adherence to QHSE standards
