Mr. James Base Survey Engineer

Mr. James is seeking a Base Survey Engineer offshore, for one of the world leaders in drilling services, as well as in the engineering, procurement, construction and installation of pipelines and complex projects, onshore and offshore, in the oil and gas market .

Activities

Provide technical support for Offshore Survey teams (advice in case of malfunctions and problems with equipment, external support contacts, being a point of contact with supplier)

Fault / problem logging of offshore teams (collect and provide technical bulletins to advise the fleet on problems / solutions.

Collect and maintain current ship information (equipment inventories, inspection schedules, ship guides, etc.)

Provide project planning assistance and collaborate with Project Surveyors to define bill of materials needed for new projects.

Provide support to Base Workshop where necessary

Requirements

  • HBO/MBO working and thinking level with a relevant education in electronics
  • Thorough knowledge of different interface formats and understanding of interfacing between survey an ROV
  • Good understanding of Optic Fiber systems
  • Good understanding of ICT networks
  • Knowledge of EIVA survey navigation software
  • Knowledge of digital video recording suites and use of IP video distribution
  • Ability to create/modify schedules for cable assemblies
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Good oral and written command of the Dutch and English language
  • Knowledge of offshore standards, such as EN, ABS, API, DNV, LIoyd’s;
  • Relevant work experience in a similar position.
  • Being able to work in a team as well as individually.
  • High standards of administration and the ability to present information in a clear manner.
  • Experience as a service engineer in the maritime world.
  • Affinity with the nautical industry.

Mr. James is op zoek naar een Base Survey Engineer offshore, voor een van de wereldleiders op het gebied van boordiensten, evenals in de engineering, inkoop, constructie en installatie van pijpleidingen en complexe projecten, onshore en offshore, in de olie- en gasmarkt.

Werkzaamheden

· Technische ondersteuning bieden voor Offshore Survey-teams (advies bij storingen en problemen met apparatuur, externe ondersteuningscontacten, aanspreekpunt zijn met leverancier)

· Registratie van fouten / problemen van offshore-teams (verzamel en verstrek technische bulletins om de vloot te adviseren over problemen / oplossingen.

· Verzamel en onderhoud actuele scheepsinformatie (inventarislijsten van apparatuur, inspectieschema's, scheepsgidsen, enz.)

· Hulp bieden bij het plannen van projecten en samenwerken met Project Surveyors om materiaallijsten te definiëren die nodig zijn voor nieuwe projecten.

· Bied waar nodig ondersteuning aan Base Workshop

Vereisten

  • HBO/MBO werk- en denkniveau met een relevante opleiding in elektronica.
  • Gedegen kennis van verschillende interfaceformaten en begrip van interfacing tussen survey en ROV.
  • Goed begrip van Optic Fiber Systems.
  • Goed begrip van ICT-netwerken.
  • Kennis van EIVA survey Navigation-software.
  • Kennis van digitale video-opnamesuites en gebruik van IP-videodistributie.
  • Mogelijkheid om schema’s voor kabelsamenstellingen te maken/wijzigen.
  • Basiskennis van AutoCAD.
  • Goede mondeling en schriftelijke beheersing van de Nederlandse en Engelse taal.
  • Kennis van offshore standaarden, zoals EN, ABS, API, DNV, LIoyds’s;
  • Relevante werkervaring in een soort gelijke functie.
  • Zowel in teamverband als individueel kunnen werken.
  • Hoge standaarden van administratie en vermogen om informatie op een duidelijke manier te presenteren.
  • Ervaring als service engineer binnen de maritieme wereld.
  • Affiniteit met de nautische branche.
